This piece is a self portrait on my own experiences with my battle with eating disorders. Many years of denial but now the awakening of affirmation and acceptance yet a very raw struggle.
I’m trying to tell myself that I’m allowed to be vulnerable and that’s okay. It’s a journey.
I don’t want to hide it, nor be ashamed of it because it is in my life every single day, and recovery is going to be a life long journey for me.
